Food & Wine Festival Hotspot: Portland

With January on the books, its time to start looking ahead to 2012 the food and wine festivals and conferences.  As I look at my inbox I can’t help but noticed that Oregon, specifically the Portland area is a recurring locality to several food and wine events this year.  Its no surprise, once you visit the area you will be hooked; from exceptional use of local produce to amazing wines.

International Pinot Noir Celebration
July 27-29, 2012
A three day celebration through food, conversation, and of course fantastic wine.  The festival is held in McMinnville, located just outside of Portland in the center of Willamette Valley.  http://www.ipnc.org  @IPNC

International Food Blogger Conference
August 24-26, 2012
For those in the food (writing) industry or interested in expanding into the field, this year’s IFBC is located in Portland.  The event, organized by Foodista.com and Zephyr Adventures, is packed with a wide range of topics from healthy living to current technology. http://www.foodista.com/ifbc2012  @IFBC

Feast Portland
September 20-23, 2012
With the likes of Bon Appétit, Whole Foods, and Stumptown Coffee Roasters how can one go wrong?  Like many other festivals, the importance of hunger in the US is one of the focal points, and Share Our Strength is the benefiting charity. http://feastportland.com @feastpdx

Cheers!
