How Will You Be Celebrating 2012?

New Year’s Eve is right around the corner and there are lots of great places to celebrate.  Here are just a few suggestions from around the country.

After enjoying ice skating at Millennium Park, cross Michigan Avenue to enjoy dinner at The Gage or Henri.  The Gage menu includes pork belly and affordable champagne options.  Henri’s menu includes some of the best seasonal food and wine pairings in the city.

Combine dinner at Primehouse with a night at The James hotel on Mag Mile for a luxurious Chicago experience.

New York City

Enjoy the special menu and champagne toasts at Michael White’s Osteria Morini.  The restaurant is known for a great affordable wine list and its Emilia-Romagna (Italian) inspired food, what better way to end the year!

Dine at Ellabess with their New Year’s Eve four course pre fixe and champagne menu, then book the “Tonight’s The Night” special at the Nolitian hotel for a fantastic night in city.

San Francisco

Make it a weekend of some of the best food and wine in the city with Michael Mina, RN74, the newly opened AQ Seasonal Restaurant & Bar while staying at the historic Westin St. Francis on Union Square.

Spending New Year’s Eve in the comforts of home?  Make sure to stock up on bubbles; check out these suggestions from Périphérique Wine Merchants (San Francisco), Frankly Wines (NYC), and Cravings.

Cheers to a Happy New Year!
